Taken in Broad Daylight premieres in Canada - Only on Super Channel

Edmonton Feb. 19, 2009 – One of the Lifetime Movie Networks highest rated original programs Taken in Broad Daylight is coming to Canada March 5 at 8 p.m. ET - only on Super Channel.

Taken in Broad Daylight is inspired by the survival story of a 17-year-old girl who was kidnapped by a criminal and taken on a harrowing, six-day multi-state journey. The young teen left clues for police as she tried to outwit her captor; in keeping a level head, she was able to engineer her own remarkable rescue. The movie stars James Van Der Beek (Dawson’s Creek, Varsity Blues), Sara Canning (Smallville, Kyle XY) and LeVar Burton (Roots, Star Trek: The Next Generation).

The production recently premiered in the US and became the third highest rated Lifetime Movie Network original film in its 10-year history among women 18-49 (1.3/515,000 viewers) and women 25-54 (1.5/597,000 viewers).

The film was produced out of Manitoba by AmediaVision Partners producer Kent Ulrich (Two Lagoons Productions), written by Charlene Blaine Schulenburg and directed by Gary Yates.

Super Channel also aired Lifetime’s top rated original The Capture of the Green River Killer last year also produced out of Manitoba by Julijette Productions producer Juliette Hagopian. It is slated to return to air in May.
